Coaches! Your Attitude Matters!

The coach's attitude is perhaps the single most important thing brought to practice.  Rarely do you hear players comment on how organized a coach is or how knowledgeable.  Instead, they talk about how "psyched" or "into it" the coach is.  A few basic rules are helpful:

• Keep things simple and clear; avoid jargon
• Be positive and use positive language
• Exude enthusiasm
• Be organized
• Remember -- you are the adult, keep things in perspective
• Let them play
• Remember that the reason they play is to have fun.
